I Hear a New World- Podcast #4

I just wanted to let you all know that the fourth episode of I Hear a New World is available for download at:

http://ihearanewworld.podomatic.com/

This episode focuses on bands from the Portland area who didn't play Musicfest this year and who didn't work at Music Millennium. It features a wide variety of styles including klezmer, free jazz, noise, psychedelic rock, folk and electronic. I am interested to hear what you guys think of the podcasts so far. Do you like the format of the shows? Do you think they are eclectic enough? Are there any bands that you would like to see featured on the podcasts? Please don't be afraid to comment. All comments and suggestions are welcome as long as they aren't malicious.

Greetings from the other side of the river, here in Vancouver, WA. I like the music you're featuring in your podcasts. Though my site is geared toward the more 'accessible' side of pop and rock, I definitely dig avante-garde sounds. BTW: if you'd like to add me to your blogroll, that'll be nice and cool. I'm at Fusion 45.

Fusion 45:

I would be happy to add you to my links. My site doesn't seem to be getting very much traffic these days, but it may help you get a few more visitors. Since you are among the few who actually comment, I wanted to know what do you specifically like about the podcast- certain artists or songs, my DJ commentary, the themes, etc. Interested in specifically what you like about the podcasts. Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

Rich:

Are you the Rich from Kill Ugly Radio? If so, I check your blog every so often to see what you'v been up to. Thanks for your feedback about the podcasts? It's hard to know what you are doing right without hardly any feedback, so the feedback coming from you is much appreciated.

I had a lot of fun compiling and recording the Music Millennium podcast, because these are all musicians that I have had the privilege to know. It's really amazing to me when I realize all the talent that has graced the halls of Music Millennium. Though I don't go back often, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the place.

Best wishes to both of you!

Kevin
